Customer story: Biertempel

Biertempel is a craft beer and spirits shop that uses TastingHub not only for its events but also for in-store digital displays. We spoke with owner Christian about how the platform has changed his day-to-day operations.

TastingHub:

What kind of tastings do you offer and how often do you host them?

Christian:

At my specialty beer shop, I regularly offer guided tastings on various themes – usually focusing on a specific region or style. Currently, I host about one tasting event per month, which I manage through TastingHub.

TastingHub:

How did you organize your tastings before using TastingHub – and what frustrated you the most?

Christian:

Before integrating TastingHub, I prepared my topics like a lecture. When it came to engaging participants more interactively and with multimedia, I quickly hit my limits. If attendees aren't fully focused, it's hard to convey the stories behind the products.

TastingHub:

What has specifically changed for you since using TastingHub? How do your guests respond to the live voting and digital elements?

Christian:

Two things had an immediate impact: participants actively engaging through voting on their phones, and being able to easily incorporate image sequences and materials into a multimedia presentation – both have significantly elevated my events. Through the TastingHub portal, I've also been able to approach event preparation in a much more structured way. Plus, you quickly build up a database of images, materials, and product information.

TastingHub:

You also use the slideshow feature for advertising in your shop. How do you like this feature?

Christian:

Beyond events, the slideshow feature provides a simple and hassle-free advertising space for my shop. Compared to printed posters or hanging banners, it's much more practical and cheaper too.

TastingHub:

Who would you recommend TastingHub to – and why?

Christian:

For retailers like me who use TastingHub not just for tastings but also as advertising space and a database, I can highly recommend the platform. But even if you're only focused on tasting events, the potential is huge – not just for preparing and presenting events. Through participant ratings, you can also quickly build up a massive dataset of customer impressions, which can prove valuable in many ways.

TastingHub:

Thank you, Christian!
